I was born in Zhengzhou, Henan province, China. I received my bachelor degree in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, where I began my early scientific explorations on FE simulation of thixoforging and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) analysis of commercial pipeline steels.
I received my PhD degree in Ceramics from Inamori School of Engineering, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. I have a broad range of research interests, majorly focusing on sintering of ceramics. You can find my recent research interests and publications on this personal webpage.
Currently I am a ceramist at Apple Inc., California, USA.
However, whether from cliche recalcitrance or hypocritical self-mockery, I would rather call myself a Chinese poet, out of a lifelong fanatic in contemporary Chinese poetry and highway literature.
